Please will you add me to your friends list?

I am an admirer of your artworks, would love to see more, and I am a fellow fan of all that is Aubrey and Maturin related.

I realise you don't know me, but I promise not to be a weird stalker type or anything!

Thankyou! *grins*

Haha, well, if I have your word for it.

I'll add you straight away. :D

I have a message for you from a friend. She says: Sophia, Guarnerius, Mapes. Or, Hollom, Esteban, blomps. Visit my journal and add me. :D

"Who are you, sir?" asked Jack.

From: [identity profile]
Hollom was the squee they had shared; Stephen's Melburyist name in Spain was Esteban; no one else on earth (except the old Ponies) knew that a blomp was really a full-body glomp. She visited Gratiana's journal and added her.

Yes, I will be civil. I'm new to all of this, but I would like to be friended and to friend in return.

I saw you entries on "A Perfect Duet," enjoyed them, and thought I wanted to make contact.

Vielen dank! Rjaye

Hi there. :D Welcome.

gosh, how awfully super!

a friend of mine has the whole 'A bit of Fry and Laurie' on DVD which enthralled me (mainly with nostalgia) last time i was at her house (especially as i didn't know one existed!), but anyways ...

... figured we shared some specific interests and lots of generic ones so thought i'd 'walk the walk' and comment ... :)

Date: 2007-07-12 05:57 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile]
And I'll walk it along with you and friend you.

Welcome to my humble blog. I hope you won't be too put off by the sheer boredom of it. ;)

You seem a very curious person. Would you mind if I add you? Quite lovely and funny icons you make, though admittedly slightly on the risky side... :)

*waves hi* I'm a friend of Hyel's and I have come here:

1) To give you all my best wishes for a swift recovery. I had surgery this summer too, if from how it sounds much more minor than yours, and so you also have my commiseration.

2) To give you a couple of fic recs I hope you will enjoy.
Shore Leave. NC-17 Age of Sail four-way crossover, and a riotous, funny, touching, beautifully written delight.
A Maze of Twisty Passages, All Alike
Vorkosiverse adventure featuring Ivan and Gregor, which fits beautifully into Bujold's style, is immensely funny, and made me love Ivan even more.

3) To give you an e-hug. *big warm hug*

Ruby! Hi, I've heard such an awful lot about you. Well, and I've seen you around, because I lurk and I stalk like that.

1) Thank you very much. I hope you've recovered well from your surgery.

2) I have read Shore Leave, but maybe it's time for a re-read. XD It's the AoS crossover fic of doom.

I have not read the other one but I certainly will. Thank you very much.

3) *clings right back* Thank you very much. I mean that. [ profile] hyel has good taste in friends.

Hi! I gather you're Not Well. These little things, as the convict said of the 4' 8" judge, are sent to try us.
I wish I had other Encouraging Words to offer. In times like this I personally advocate the use of Snuggly TeddyBears or their equivalent. They are soft and friendly, non-judgemental, and extremely good at listening to your frustrations without themselves getting frustrated. They can also ask people for chocolate and ice cream without it looking like you are yourself vying for the Piglet of the Year award.

All the best & get well SOon.

Aww, that's really sweet, thank you.

*S* I like your advice. I've long been convinced of the beneficial effects of always having a teddybear near. Much longer and I'm going to turn all Brideshead.

More of the Aubrey-Maturin than the Jeeves and Wooster in my journal at the moment, though, but I hope you won't mind. :P

Hello, ye random person.

On a whim I searched for 'fran/dougie' as an interest and found you and, for some appalling reason, you alone. And then I find that Stephen and Hugh greet me in your stead, and that it's okay to list 'jamie hyneman's moustache' as an interest.

So if it's okay I'd like to friend you, and stalk you and have your babies, and add said 'fran/dougie' interest to my own list. In fact, I'd hardly need a poke to add most of your interests, but, y'know, that might seem weird 0.o

I am not usually this wanky or creepifying. Oh wait, yeah I am.

From: [identity profile]
Haha, welcome. I'll add you back in a moment. (Very hapily done!)

Jamie Hyneman's moustache deserves its own fan community.
